Highlands WCID weighs 50 cent fire donation plan
Highlands volunteers seek to fund a new fire engine and equipment by adding a 50 cent monthly donation on water bills. District counsel will review legality of funding via maintenance funds and potential bond issues, while Chief Searcy urged support to replace aging trucks. The matter follows similar moves by nearby districts. In Washington the Supreme Court will swear in two new justices on January 7.
