Deserving mom wins car as Bates gives away 20 cars
April Williams, a single mother of two, received a car from Bates Custom & Collision in Baytown as the shop marks 20 years in business and its 19th and 20th vehicle giveaways. Williams had relied on others for rides to school and appointments, and online college courses were challenging without reliable transportation. The gift aims to boost her independence and continue supporting her daughters.
