Bush says Iraq policy not to be rushed amid debate
President Bush after meetings with generals at the Pentagon stressed he would not be rushed into a new Iraq strategy. He cited ideas that would lead to defeat, spoke with Kurdish leaders by phone, and pledged to seek bipartisan support while delaying a national address until early next year. He noted violence in Iraq and said troops are focused on a winning strategy.
