Professor Alois Cibulka of the University of Houston engineering department died at a Los Angeles hospital at 10 pm Sunday. He had been in Los Angeles since June on an UH engineering project, and his wife joined him there after his illness. Born in Czechoslovakia, he earlier worked at Baylawn Refinery and taught at the University of Texas before joining UH. He and his family kept a Highlands home for 25 years. Survivors include his widow and two daughters, with burial plans not announced.
