Veterans see armory as new home in Baytown
Abandoned 1954 Texas National Guard armory on YMCA Drive near Baytown Police Department could become a new home for Ken Pridgeon's Portrait of a Warrior Art Gallery and Baytown American Legion Post 323. Officials discuss a possible auction next year with minimum bids around 250000 while veterans plan to turn the site into a Veterans Center of Baytown. The property spans 5.3 acres and includes a large main building with a kitchen, restrooms, showers, locker room, offices, classrooms and a storage building.
