Cabinet Plant Goes Bankrupt in West Virginia
In Cowen West Virginia the Wood Turning Co a cabinet making plant closed after ten months of operation. The plant held 631236 in loans from federal state and private sources and employed 60 people producing television and kitchen cabinets chairs and other wood products. President Clyde Leslie cited inadequate financing as a key cause and noted the firm ran out of money to profit. This marks a second WV antipoverty project failure following National Seating and Dimension Co bankruptcy two years earlier with 1.5 million in federal loans.
