Goose Creek CISD meeting sparks concern over transportation center near Gentry Junior
Baytown residents voiced alarm during the Goose Creek CISD board citizen participation segment about placing a bus operations center behind Gentry Junior School. Marlon Ratliff cited fuel storage and spill risks, environmental harm, traffic problems, road destruction, noise, and light pollution, questioning site selection and adherence to stated criteria. The bond project, approved in 2013, consolidates bus operations, but the site was not part of the vote.
