Hephone Co. rate case headed to appeals court in Houston
The Hephone Co and City of Baytown dispute over telephone rates was argued Tuesday in the Court of Civil Appeals in Houston. Attorneys for both sides presented points challenging city rates as unreasonable and potentially harming the company's property value. The brief submitted by the city contends the injunction against the city’s proposed rates should stand, while the telephone company argues the rates would yield only a minimal return.
