ExxonMobil Baytown Olefins Plant manager Woody Paul accepted the 2013 Texas Workforce Solutions Employer of the Year award at the San Antonio conference. Texas to add second bridge on Highway 99 over Cedar Bayou
TXDOT plans a 25 million project to widen Highway 99 between Business 146 and FM 1405 to four lanes with a parallel two lane Cedar Bayou bridge. Bid solicitations expected in April. construction slated 15 to 18 months, finishing by end of 2015. The Grand Parkway frontage roads will reconfigure the 99 and Business 1406 intersection while keeping waterway clearance intact.

Ho Ho Ho Scavenger Hunt aids Baytown food drive
Sterling's annual Ho Ho Ho Scavenger Hunt runs Monday from 5 to 7 pm with Ross S. Sterling High School students and staff collecting non-perishable foods for the Baytown Food Bank and baby items for New Horizon Family Center. Neighborhood routes include Goose Creek Country Club and Crockett Park areas. PALS director Kelley Starr notes group teams and driving adults will compete in contests for most items collected and best dressed group.
