Council Studies Zoning Proposal Amid Draft Changes
Baytown officials and the Planning and Zoning Commission met at city hall to review a draft Baytown zoning ordinance. No action was taken and a follow up meeting was planned. The draft considers height limits for various residential building types and includes a setback rule for taller structures. City planner F Ross Wilhite circulated a nationwide questionnaire on zoning opinions. Responses from major cities point to mixed views on land use planning and the need for updates. A note mentions San Marino hiring its policemen from Italy.
