Baytown CAP Known for Emergency Role in Crises
Baytown Civil Air Patrol gained nationwide recognition for its long history of emergency work. From aiding in Hurricane Carla rescues to securing dangerous chemical containers and guarding critical loads, CAP volunteers staffed security operations and established communications networks. They located missing aircraft, assisted hunters and fishermen, and deployed cadets with transport to vaccine centers during public health efforts.
