Houston Mulls Buying Phones After Tax Hearing

Two Hunters Rescued After Boat Capsize in Fog

In a dripping fog near Baytown on Saturday morning two hunters in trouble were rescued after their boat overturned in Tabbs Bay. Police and Emergency Corps searched the area for hours, aided by volunteers and a Gulf Oil boat, before the two men Paul Vance and Homer Smith were found safe at Sims fishing camp.

Small Craft Warnings Spread Along Gulf Coast

Small craft warnings went up from Browns ville to Morgan City as the weather bureau warned of northwesterly 35 mile per hour winds Saturday night. A cold front is whipping across the state with 70 mile per hour winds stirring dust in extreme Texas. The front is not expected to drop temperatures and skies should clear rapidly afterward. Gusty winds and thundershowers will affect the Baytown area Saturday night with cooler weather expected Sunday. A low of 46 is forecast for Saturday night.

Goodfellow Party Set At Wooster

Perry Dillion a 61 year old La Porte carpenter is hospitalized in Baytown with a fractured hip and fractured left hand after an incident at the Baytown Refinery on Friday. He was reported resting well by his doctor Saturday. He was injured while at the refinery shop.

Edward J. Malmquist a Baytown resident for 28 years died in a Baytown hospital Saturday morning.
