Barbers Hill students host homeless awareness night

At Barbers Hill High School students plus chaperone Nikki Hamilton gathered at the Barbers Hill Auxiliary Field for the event Homeless For A Night. They collected blankets and money to help the homeless, raising an estimated 700 dollars as part of a turnout that benefited participants and the community. Kaitlin Patterson and Paige Storm demonstrated shelter durability during the event.

Baytown Christmas Parade and On Texas Avenue Festivities

Baytown celebrated with a Friday night Christmas parade along Texas Avenue to Market and past Bicentennial Park, featuring three Baytown high school bands and numerous community and business participants. The parade ran from 6:30 to about 9 p.m., with around 250 entries reported. Saturday’s Christmas on Texas Avenue drew large crowds, about 60 vendors, dog adoption booths, crafts, and community groups, amid higher attendance than previous years.
