Annual Christmas on Texas Avenue kicks off Baytown celebrations
The annual Christmas on Texas Avenue ushers in Baytown's holiday season from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organized by the Historic Goose Creek Association of merchants, the event fills Texas Avenue from Oak Tree to North Main Street with food booths, gifts, and holiday items. Santa visits Brunson Theater then Wilkenfeld Furniture Co. for children's wishes, while Kuk Sool Won, Huey Shoemaker, and Opry singers provide performances. Goose Creek Choirs, a classic car show, and pony rides plus petting zoo entertain all day, with Great American Farms returning forpony rides and petting zoo at 700.
