Bridge Notes Showcasing Helen’s Winning Hand

The passage describes Helen playing the deuce of hearts from dummy and reaching a top score. East initially might have returned a diamond but played clubs instead. Helen wins a trick with the ace, draws trumps, cashes the king of clubs, discards a club, ruffs a club in hand, then returns to dummy with the last trump and discards the deuce of diamonds on the 13th club. Luck aids skill in this decisive sequence.
