Miners Rescued After 14 Day Cave-In Tragedy
Miners Henry Throne and David Fellin were brought to the surface in good condition after 14 days trapped in a Hazleton mine. 20 Year Resident Dies Rites Set
Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church for Mrs. Aspasia P. Comnas 82 of 307 W Republic who died at 5 a.m. Monday in a Baytown hospital. The Rev P Walter Henckell will officiate with burial at Memory Gardens under Earthman Funeral Home. She lived in Baytown 20 years and is survived by son George D Comnas of Geneva Switzerland and Larchmont NY a brother Santiago Pappag of Laredo and three grandchildren Basil Demetrie and Asposia Commas.

Old soldiers may fade but need forms for burial expenses and flags. Since 1943 a Veterans Service Center has served Baytown and received city support since 1953. Children With Hearing Blocks Get School Aid
The Baytown school district will fund preschool training for five local children with hearing difficulties at Pasadena’s unit, paying 351 dollars per pupil and 39 dollars monthly. Transportation falls to parents. The district may expand if more eligible children are found, but district classes cannot start until 1964-65. Pasadena operates the only program in the area. La Marque recently closed theirs.
