Summer Fest '08 at Bicentennial Park in Baytown
An all day free concert at Bicentennial Park Baytown on Saturday August 23 2008 opens at noon with Tracey Walls and features Jermaine Freeman Memorial Baptist Praise Band Church on the Rock Band Access The Red Airplanes and Stellar Kart headlining. Gates stay open until about 10 p.m. Families and friends are invited.

Phillip Ray Cottle Jr known as Ray in Baytown defied CF stigma by embracing life and friendships. No charges for man who killed burglar
A grand jury cleared Donald Prejeant, owner of Four Corners Barbecue, of murder after he shot a burglar who broke a window to enter the restaurant. Evidence showed Prejeant acted to protect property. he held a handgun license and shot the intruder when the burglar ran into the kitchen. The no bill brings closure for the Highlands resident and his supporters.
