Safari A Go Go Is Baytown Teens Club Effort
Safari A Go Go results from years of frustration and one month of work. Since 1961 Baytown teens have sought a center after Hurricane Carla ended Quack Shack status. The Rod Reel and Gun Club Building hosts a loud, informal scene with bands and youth activity. Sponsors include Bob Kalbitz rehabilitation counselor and Pat Ball city council member. Ball and Kalbitz leveraged Key Club and Circle K aid from Lee High and Lee College Kiwanis groups to back a teen center project.
