Christian Day in the Park Festival Returns for 2003
Patti Denise known as Jamakis joins Platinum Beat Entertainment for a 22 act festival featuring choirs rock bands and rap. Churches will raise funds with booths while businesses may join for a fee. Highlands 2004 Miss Highlands Pageant Registration Opens
Highlands Horizons announces registration for the 2004 Miss Highlands Pageant at Highlands Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Entrants must be high school students, single, and reside in Highlands Little League boundaries or have a parent with Highlands business ownership. Contestant fee is 40 dollars and attendance at a mother daughter event on August 29 is required. Woman charged after beating elderly father in Baytown
A Friendswood woman, 53 year old Jan Ward, was charged with felony injury to the elderly after an argument with her father on Rollingwood Drive ended in her punching him as he sat in a recliner. He was treated for facial lacerations at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. Ward agreed to a police interview and was processed.
