Denny Box Aids Mentally Retarded Children Learning
A psychology professor at Michigan State University created a lever and four slot device to teach severely retarded children by preventing wrong answers. The box, called the denny box, simulates school at home to help grasp basic directions and prepositions. Early use in Wisconsin and Howell State Hospital shows promising results, with many children retaining skills and applying them to real life.
