A Texas Water Engineers report says rainfall ranged from 20 percent of normal in the lower river basin to nearly double in the lower coastal area. The upper Brazos and its tributaries dried early, while the Trinity near Dallas Fort Worth was extremely low. Guadelupe near New Braunfels and Camal Springs registered record lows.
