Monica Boyd Literacy Foundation helps kids read
The Monica Boyd Literacy Foundation aids elementary and middle school students in improving basic reading skills for brighter futures. Founder Boyd recounts her own reading struggles, the Sylvan Learning Center success, and community support from Lee College, Judge Don Coffey, Dr. John Britt, and Debbie Busch. The program uses donorfunded fundraisers at the Riley Chambers Community Center in Crosby, with testing, personalized hours, and progress reports guiding each student’s journey.
