Truck Crashes Into Van And Mustang Near Cedar Bayou
A man driving a truck hit a van causing it to spin into a 1965 Mustang. Life Flight carried a parent and child to the hospital as a precaution. The vehicles ended in a ditch near Cedar Bayou Lynchberg and Garth Road with no serious injuries reported. In a separate incident a woman was caught shoplifting $88 of perfume and baby shoes at San Jacinto Mall and found with crack cocaine residue and five warrants.

Neighbor steals water from vacant house with hose
A 47 year old woman says a neighbor ran a hose from her vacant home in the 1200 block of East Foyle to the neighbor’s property and siphoned water valued at 40 dollars between July 1 and August 11. Police were notified at noon on Friday. Another woman, 40, reports a vandal slashed three tires and damaged her car in the 1300 block of Beaumont Road, with a suspect seen fleeing. She filed charges for criminal mischief.

Raccoon project bids revealed in interlocal funding plan
The estimated total cost reaches 5.9 million with Angel Brothers Enterprises winning the bid at 4.7 million. Harris County will pay 2.7 million and Baytown 3.1 million, funded partly by 2.5 million from the city’s 2001 street bonds.
