Combat veteran pilots hurricane eye entry in Neptune patrol bomber
Cmdr. E L Foster, 39, Chattanooga, after 15 years in the Navy flying 4000 hours, made his first 10 1 2 hour flight into hurricane Connie's eye aboard a Navy Neptune with a 10 man crew. He recalls brutal turbulence, relentless winds, and the calm of the eye where they photographed the storm from 20 000 feet.
