Pan American Jet Hijacked Toward Cuba from Mexico City
A Pan American World Airways DOB jet with 72 passengers and 9 crew was hijacked and diverted toward Cuba while en route from Mexico City to Guatemala City. The flight had left Houston at 10 a.m. and arrived in Mexico City, taking off at 12:37 p.m. for Guatemala City. A spokesman estimated arrival in Havana by 3:30 p.m. EDT.
