Volleyball rule changes energize fast paced play
RULES we re CONTINUED FROM PAGE 5A must win three of five games to take the match. Even though more points must be scored, the games are generally-shorter because each serve results in a point. "Thank goodness it goes quicker" says Angela Crenshaw mother of Sterling's Lacey Crenshaw as players scrimmage Friday at Winnie Brown Gym. The text notes new rules allow touching the ball with any body part and hitting with the backside of the hand, changing positions and making rallies longer and more dramatic.
