Sonos gains after public debut boost and pioneer status
Sonos shares jump over 32 percent to 19.91 after a Thursday market debut despite a reduced initial price from 17 to 15. Analysts note the company’s pioneer position in wireless and multi room speakers, a strong patent portfolio, and rising consumer demand for streaming music. The firm launched its first enabled speaker Sonos One in October and the TV soundbar Sonos Beam in July, both using Alexa from Amazon.
