New York Women say prime time shows demean females
Midge Kovacs coordinates the Image of Women Committee for the NYC NOW chapter. She argues that prime time TV presents a male dominated view, with women in inferior, second rate roles on The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game, and I Love Lucy. They urge moves to 1970s programming and more women in serious news and ads.
