Baytown Marks 19th Amendment Centennial Events
Baytown Councilwoman Betancourt and the League of Women Voters of the Bay Area invite the public to free August events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Activities include drive-up education stations on Aug 18 for voter registration, a Women’s Equality Day proclamation on Aug 26, and an exhibit at Sterling Memorial Library and Baytown City Hall. Targeted sites include Community Bank of Texas, Harris County Courthouse, Community Resource Credit Union, Baytown Police Department, and Sterling Library.
