Moon Express wins US approval for private moon journey
The FAA cleared Moon Express a Florida based firm to land a washing machine sized lander on the moon using hops rather than wheels. The plan envisions a 10 million mission with hydrogen peroxide propulsion and a rocket from Rocket Lab. Moon Express aims to mine lunar resources and sell moon dust and rocks while competing for the Google Lunar X Prize.
