Sterling choirs win Region X UIL sweepstakes
The Sterling high school choirs earned Sweepstakes trophies at the Region X UIL event in Silsbee April 6 7 receiving top ratings from all judges. It marked 10th year of varsity top honors and second year for non varsity boys and treble choirs. The groups later performed at the American Classic Music Festival in Dallas on April 17 and at Six Flags Arlington where each choir also won a trophy. Directors Tim Vaughn and Holly Hopper lead the ensembles.
