Napier trial set for May 4 in Baytown slayings
Testimony in the capital murder case of Carl Edward Napier, a 41 year old Channelview area man, is scheduled to begin May 4 in Houston in Judge Woody Densen's 248th District Court. Napier is accused of killing Jack Joseph Carlin, his wife Martha Kitty Carlin, and their son Andrew on a houseboat near the San Jacinto River Bridge February 20 of last year. Robbery is suspected as the motive. Deputies said stolen items were found in Napier's possession after his arrest following a traffic stop.
