The Baytown Company aims to settle the matter without court action. A judge at appeal year to have the order separated by recorder Holdridge’s decision. A student named Vege brought a film titled Dark to show at 7 p.m.
Three year old Felton Brackin of Highlands was a passenger in a Saturday crash at the Decker North Market Loop intersection. His mother Mamie Brackin reported minor injuries, while the boy was not hurt.
Two funeral notices list Carolyn Sue French 24 of Highlands with service at Earthman Highlands, burial at White Cemetery, and family including husband Jerry French. and Dickie Ray Lambert 19 of Baytown with service at Paul U. The National Petroleum Refiners Association recognized Humble Oil and Refining Co.'s Baytown Refinery for 3,725,400 man hours without a disabling injury. NPRA also cited 15 other refineries with 1,000,000+ hours, nine with two or more years, and 23 companies for 365 consecutive days without a disabling injury. The award underscores ongoing safety efforts across the refining and petrochemical industry.
Bill Hobby, Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, announced results of a marketing poll conducted April 22. The poll used 4,000 random calls to registered voters in Texas's four largest cities to gauge preference among the five major candidates. Names of the candidates were not provided in the release.
Drew Intermediate School will host a spring festival at 7 pm Thursday in the gym.
