Options included a vacated church near Travis Elementary and portables at Victoria Walker, but neither could safeguard 150 zoned students or accommodate nearly 1,500 in one location. District officials emphasize keeping families together, with a two to four year timeline and no new school funded in the 2005 bond. A public meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. discusses the issue. questions may be directed to board secretary Noemi Garcia.
