Early voting starts Monday and runs to May 1 with Election Day on May 5. In Mont Belvieu City Council Position 3 incumbent Arnold Peters faces challenger Matthew Thompson. Peters has served since 2009 and has lived in Mont Belvieu for 20 years. Born in Louisiana, he has been a Texas resident 28 years.
Early voting on Goose Creek ISD's 437.5 million bond starts Monday and runs through May 1. The measure is split into two propositions covering multiple district needs as detailed on page 8A.

Donors and scholarship recipients gathered at Rundell Hall Friday for Lee College Foundation's 16th annual Scholarship Breakfast.
