Jaromir Nechansky a 34 year old former Czech Army major admitted guilt on high treason and espionage charges in Pan kree Prison. He described a spy ring led by Walter Birge former chief of the U S embassy political division and said American officials promised underground growth explosives and radio equipment. City Water Wells Being Cleaned At Goose Creek Barn

City Manager C D Middleton says a wells rejuvenation program is cleaning the Goose Creek City Barn well. Elderly Contractor Oil Company Heads Found Dead

Robert Hugh Cavanay of Cameron died of a heart attack at the home of his daughter Mrs Olive Pruett in Cameron. The inquest by Justice of the Peace Roscoe Zierlein found death occurred hours earlier after a heart ailment he had for about two years. Cavanay, a retired building contractor of Cameron for almost 40 years, leaves surviving Mrs Pruett, another daughter Mrs Virgil Coward, a son RF L Cavanay of Barrtown, and a great grandson. State Guard Reserve Units Planned Here Three Infantry Companies

Baytown units of the Texas State Guard Reserve Corps will be formed at a meeting in the Baytown Realty Company offices at 7 36 p.m. tomorrow called by Captain Edwin E Atteberry Sr authorized to form three infantry companies including a headquarters unit and two rifle companies. Former service members from Texas Defense Guard Texas State Guard and National Guard may enroll at their highest grade with discharges or photostatic copies brought for verification. Officers should bring original discharges if photostatic copies are unavailable.
