Union derides ExxonMobil contract offer
ExxonMobil delivered its final contract offer to about 1,200 workers affiliated with the union after two months of talks. The four year package would raise wages starting with a 52 cent hourly bump in 2003 and a 3.7 percent rise in 2004, 4 percent in 2005, with 2006 parity to peers. Union leaders called it disappointing and expect a rejection vote on April 21 22. The plan also leaves unpaid 108 training hours for new hires and does not raise the $17 starting wage.
