Lee College to raise tuition amid funding shortfall
Lee College regents approved increased tuition at a Thursday meeting as state funding and tax revenue decline. In-district tuition rises to 42 per credit hour, out-of-district to 72, and out-of-state to 12 per credit hour, all $2 above administration’s recommendation. Board member Don Coffey backed higher hikes, noting no tax increase is expected, while Regent Mark Hall questioned the needed total. Finance VP Steve Evans estimated about a $20 per hour rise would fully cover the shortfall.
