Rev. Dudley Bowman son of Mr and Mrs Joe Bowman of 1005 Mabry has accepted the pastorate of Palm Crest Baptist Church in Corpus Christi. He is a University of Corpus Christi student and has served as supply pastor at Driscol and other area churches. He is married to Norma Kovar daughter of Mr and Mrs W L Kovar of 201 N Burnet Drive. They have three children Sherri Rosa Jean and Joe.

Burglary At Enco Station Netted $1078 In Cash
An estimated $1078 in cash and receipts was stolen from Howard Franklin's Enco at 2210 North Highway 146. Entry gained by breaking the glass. The burglary occurred between 10 15 and 12 p.m. Friday.

Auto Collision Sends Four To Gulf Coast Hospital
Four people were taken to Gulf Coast Hospital after a Sunday morning auto collision around 7 am. All were treated and released. Rena Sue Keoughan, 17, of 716 Pamela, was in a car struck by Curtis Givens, 2, of 405 Abbott as Givens tried to turn left from East James onto Danubria. In Keoughan’s car were Cindy Davison, 17, of 1501 E James, and Carol Schrader, 17, of 503 Midway. Givens was charged with driving left of center on East James.
