Dedication of Jesse J. Lee Park on Big Cow Creek near Wolf Den is set for 1. a.m. Saturday April 22 under the county historical society. Roland B. Voight will deliver the talk "Jesse J. Lee the Man the Lawyer and Friend." Judge Lee donated 4.13 acres. Wolf Den citizens committee funded and developed the park. Speakers include Cooper K. Ragan W Q Adams and Mrs Jean Shephard with others to follow. a picnic lunch will be served. The park lies four miles north of Orange on FM 363 at the Cow Creek crossing.

Guard Unit Here Plans Member Push
The Baytown unit of the Texas State Guard will hold its annual enlistment drive from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday at the Kmart shopping center on North Pruett. Capt R R McClean announced that men ages 17 to 63 are eligible. The unit, Co C 202nd Battalion, is based at 3015 N Main on Wye St. The unit meets 7:30 to 9:30 pm each Monday. The company is a military police unit with training in traffic control first aid light duty rescue handling and care of weapons communication and various military trainings.
