Annamarie Ellis, an Air Force staff sergeant later reduced to airman basic, pleaded guilty to three charges and 24 specifications of misconduct at Lackland. Abusive tactics corrode humanity and trust in military units, a problem that extends beyond sexual assaults at Lackland and calls for a firm, humane reckoning across all branches.
