Attorney Andrew J. Lannie reviewed the U S Constitution before Thursday's City Council meeting and found no allowance for beautifying Baytown. Citizens oppose, yet council passed an ordinance banning parking on grass except on improved surfaces. A Baytown teen, Bobby Davis, 16, is set for May 20 in Harris County juvenile court on four counts of vehicular homicide after allegedly driving a stolen Jeep into a freight train on East Archer Road. Prosecutors sought adult trial. custody may transfer to the Texas Youth Commission until age 19. Victims include Austin Davis, 14, Loral Moyers, 12, Macy Moyers, 14, and Colette Wyndham, 14. passenger Blake Barger, 15, injured.
A Baytown two year old girl Avery Rivers was mauled by a Great Dane at her grandparents home on Coachman Drive. She received facial lacerations at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and was released same day. The grandfather transferred the dog to Baytown Animal Services and authorities expect euthanization after a 10 day quarantine. No criminal intent detected and no further action planned.
