Remembering Chief Clint Greenwood of Harris County Pct 3
An editor’s letter honors Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood murdered in an ambush on April 3 at the courthouse. Tributes describe him as a policeman’s policeman, a loyal family man, and the “smartest man” they knew, with 400 Honor Guard members, a helicopter flyover, a 21 gun salute, and Taps marking the end of watch.

A Baytown reader reruns a decades old grievance about promised potable water and sewer service from annexation on August 28, 1975. The letter cites repeated denials and budget delays, noting $150,000 budgeted for a water line in 2002 and ongoing reliance on bottled water, with no storm drainage or permanent road repairs.
