In a high tension game West Brook scored five runs in the eighth to pull away from Lee for a 6-2 victory. The Lady Ganders made seven errors, two in the eighth, dropping to 5-5 in district play.
Sterling High junior varsity teams placed fourth for both boys and girls in the District 21-5A track meet at Turner Stadium. RSS JV finished third overall in a meet dominated by district programs and Turner Stadium hosted the event.
In District 21-5A, the top shot putter faced a setback on Monday afternoon with doubts about a regional meet trip easing after a strong effort. The title race centers on who advances from Humble to the next stage.
