Safety board calls end to 15 passenger van use in child care
The National Transportation Safety Board urged states to require background checks medical exams and drug tests for child care van drivers after a Memphis crash that killed four children and the driver. Investigators said the center ignored parental complaints about marijuana use and that the driver likely had an undiagnosed sleep disorder. The probable cause cited center negligence and the driver’s lost control.
