Lee College President Warns Bills Threaten Local Districts
Dr. Dennis Brown, president of Lee College, warns Senate Bill 2344 and House Bill 3835 would allow nearby colleges to annex Lee College’s non taxing service area. He cites potential loss of students and funding, noting 8,234 unduplicated fall enrollment and service to 17 districts across four counties. He urges lawmakers to consider impact on Lee College and regional students.
