Several Baytown area groups held meetings and announced results. Deer Park School Board candidates Harold L. Shelton and I. C. White won reelection bids. White led with 728 votes to 120 for rival B. J. Grant. A Shrine Club vote tabulation showed Shelton 536 to 235 for Cass, with 89 votes for Hank Wilted. The Lynchberg area falls within Deer Park district. Dredging bids for Houston Ship Channel work to begin, estimated at 1.36 million cubic yards cost about 300 thousand dollars. Rotary Club to feature a hunting and fishing film at the Tower.

Ex Baytown Woman Dies At Age 65
Funeral services for Mrs. Delsie Ellen Humphrey 65 of Channelview were held with burial at Forest Park Cemetery Baytown officiated by a minister. Survivors include husband J C McNamara three sons W E Bruch C Burch and R R Burch six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The obituary notes she lived in Channelview 20 years and was a 40 year Baytown resident.

Highlands Jamboree and Improvement Club will elect new officers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the fire station. Nominations will be presented by a nominating committee and may also be made from the floor. County Trustees reelected Saturday to Harris County School Board posts include Mrs. J. W. Shelor J. W. Cardiff and Guy Butler. In Baytown Mrs. Shelor received 1684 votes and Cardiff 1738.
