Kilgore Parkway Detention Pond Project Funded in Chambers County
Paul Lipke of Lipke Cartwright Roberts outlined a roughly $20 million plan to fund the Kilgore Parkway Detention Pond, draining about 2,500 acres east of Highway 146 and south of Interstate 10. Developers have paid $12 million via impact fees, with the county contributing $8 million, and the project also serves the new roadway drainage. The proposal, covering the segment from Highway 146 to the Union Pacific Railroad, was approved unanimously by Chambers County commissioners.
