Goose Creek Memorial volleyball coach departs after seven seasons
Goose Creek Memorial will appoint a new volleyball coach as Misti Clark leaves after seven seasons to become Jasper High School girls athletic coordinator and head volleyball and girls track coach. Clark cited a string of events guiding her to Jasper and a desire to downsize as her second child heads to college. She recalled large memories at Memorial, including more than 85 wins and 16 all-district players since 2009. Nearby factors such as Darrell Barbay, Jasper ISD athletic director, facilitated the move and fit with family needs, including her daughter pursuing nursing in Angelina.
