Downtown Baytown mock mayoral race fundraiser postponed
The Baytown Downtown Association halts the Mayor of Downtown campaign to avoid interfering with the May 15 municipal election. Mentors say the bid would raise money to “buy” votes at $1 each, with minimum $500 per candidate, aiming to net $10,000 for revitalizing Texas Avenue and other districts. The effort will resume after the election.
